El Segundo, CA – January 24, 2018 – #bandai America is kicking off the new year by releasing two flocked #minitamagotchi devices in limited quantities. Additionally, the company is bringing back the six exclusive colors from the ‘90s U.S. launch -- providing more opportunities for aficionados to get their hands on the coveted device. Fans that missed out on the chance to own the #minitamagotchi as part of the limited edition 20^th Anniversary release will get another shot starting today, as the new colors are available for preorder at retailers nationwide. 

The #minitamagotchi mimics the same play as the devices that launched late last year, but with a twist – the U.S. colors from 1997 are returning as well as baby pink and baby blue flocked versions. This is the first time that fans can get their hands on flocked #tamagotchi devices. The #minitamagotchi features the familiar egg-shaped, pixelated LCD screen and of course the recurrent need for tender-loving-care that endeared fans in 1997 when the original #tamagotchi was first released!
