Solar impulse 2 take-off from Phoenix

Phoenix, 12 May 2016 – Solar Impulse 2 took off from the Phoenix Goodyear Airport, Arizona, with #bertrandpiccard at the controls, on 12 May at 3:05am local time (UTC-7) and is expected to land at Tulsa International Airport, Oklahoma on the same day at around 11:00pm local time (UTC-5) after a 18 hour flight. The flight is part of the attempt to achieve the first ever Round-The-World Solar Flight, the goal of which is to demonstrate how modern clean technologies can achieve the impossible.
