London/Stans, July 2016 – The two new #nanoflowcell prototype vehicles #quantino and #quantfe star in the latest update of online video game #asphalt8: Airborne. Unique worldwide, the electric sports cars are making their race track debut – at least virtually – playing a starring role in video game #asphalt8: Airborne, which is available on iOS, Android, Windows 8, Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry 10. Developed and published by Gameloft, #asphalt8 is currently the most popular arcade racing game on the market, attracting more than 200 million players.

In cooperation with Gameloft, #nanoflowcell Holdings Ltd is bringing the most innovative form of electric mobility with flow cell technology onto the virtual race track. Players can now use their smartphones or tablets to send QUANT electric race cars hurtling around the track. The two digital sports #quantino and #quantfe are largely based on their real-life role models launched at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

For #asphalt8, #quantino received a power upgrade – a quicker acceleration (2.8 seconds instead of 4.8) and a higher top speed (261 km/h instead of 200 km/h). #quantfe boasts the performance data of its predecessor, QUANT E, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 s, a top speed of 380 km/h and a system output of 1019 hp. The unique benefits of QUANT prototypes powered by #nanoflowcell, like environmental friendliness, sustainability, safety and comfort, are unfortunately less important in a race simulation.

“There’s hardly anything more fascinating than cars – whether in the virtual world or in real life – and I find it exciting how a new generation is growing up naturally with our #nanoflowcell technology and environmentally compatible, sustainable mobility,” says Nunzio La Vecchia, Chief Technology Officer of #nanoflowcell Holdings Ltd. “Right now, #nanoflowcell technology might still be exotic, but even the next generation of our technology could be part of the automotive mainstream and every manufacturer might have a car powered by #nanoflowcell – and not just in #asphalt8.” La Vecchia continues: “For now, most people are able to experience the unique benefits of our QUANT models with #nanoflowcell drive only in a virtual sense. But it’s our goal to bring this innovative energy storage system to market soon and make it available in modern, state-of-the-art electric vehicles within the real world.”
