Canon launches new highly connected mono i-SENSYS MF230 and MF240 series designed to optimise small office environments

LONDON, 3 October 2016 – Canon Europe, a world leader in imaging solutions, has today announced six new mono multi-functional printers (MFPs) for small office environments. The i-SENSYS MF230 and MF240 series, which includes the i-SENSYS MF231, MF232w, MF237w, MF244dw, MF247dw and MF249dw, are designed to address the challenges facing home users, small businesses and work groups with a range of dynamic new features to help enhance flexibility, improve energy efficiency and allow for easy integration into existing workflows.
Supercharge office productivity
The compact all-in-one devices replace the i-SENSYS MF210 and award-winning i-SENSYS MF220 series and are packed full of new features to help optimise small office environments. The i-SENSYS MF230 series combines fast mono print speeds of 23ppm and 27ppm for the i-SENSYS MF240 series with a large 250-sheet capacity, for high-quality output suited to a wide range of business needs. The new series’ Quick First-Print technology enables the devices to start printing in an instant, while the i-SENSYS MF20 series also includes double-sided printing to further enhance office efficiency.

Flexible working just got easier
From day-to-day printing to copying, scanning and faxing, businesses can utilise tablets, laptops and desktop computers via wireless support for technology such as Mopria™ (Android), Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print and the Canon PRINT business app. The i-SENSYS MF230 and MF240 series also come with enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity. This allows users to connect directly to the printer from their smartphones* or leverage a network connection, whichever is convenient. Offering a timely and cost effective approach to digital document sharing, the advanced MF Scan Utility, bundled with all i-SENSYS MF230 and MF240 series devices, allows users to scan and create searchable PDF documents, attach scanned files to an e-mail and send scanned documents directly to selected cloud services. Furthermore, the i-SENSYS MF247dw and MF249dw keep up with the pace of modern working environments by scanning and sending to an email or network directly from the device – without the need of a PC.

Hassle-free printing and scanning
The i-SENSYS MF230 and MF240 series are designed to further optimise remote management capabilities. Both employees and network managers can now benefit from the printer’s mobile optimised Remote User Interface (RUI), which can be accessed via a secure HTML web interface from a smartphone or tablet, as well as from their PC*. Helping to provide businesses with a centrally managed solution, the RUI provides access to printer information and gives users the tools to change network settings, set up address books and check toner levels remotely. Additionally, the i-SENSYS MF230 and MF240 ranges adopt industry leading standards for security, enhancing compatibility and allowing for easy integration into existing office environments.

Reduce energy waste
With businesses increasingly advocating ethical working practices, the i-SENSYS MF230 and MF240 series are designed with sustainability at the fore, helping keep businesses’ carbon footprints to a minimum. The power-saving modes help organisations save energy, while the brand new ECO report offers real time analytics into paper and energy usage and tips to improve efficiency. Businesses can take advantage of fax preview on the i-SENSYS MF237w, MF247dw and MF249dw models, allowing users to preview and delete unwanted fax jobs via the RUI function. Alongside its Auto Off and sleep mode, the i-SENSYS MF230 and MF240 ranges offer an environmentally responsible way of recycling Canon’s All-in-One Cartridges through the award winning Canon Cartridge Recycling Programme. Helping to deliver a high-quality printing experience and superb black and white documents and images, employees can replace empty toner cartridges themselves, with no maintenance cost.
