Häcker Kitchens presents new Blaupunkt downdraft extractor

Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

One of the latest major kitchen trends is the extraction of cooking smells without a visible hood. Classic cooker hoods are increasingly being replaced by smarter solutions. For example by downdraft extractors that extract the smells where they are created. Just in time for the 2016 in-house show, Häcker Kitchens launched an additional downdraft extractor version. Improved features and smarter technology make perfect extraction possible, thereby ensur- ing that there is more fresh air in the kitchen. However, the induction hob with integrated extractor is also a winner when it comes to quality and price.

It's difficult to imagine a contemporary kitchen that is not equipped with a cooker hood. It keeps the air in the kitchen fresh even during cooking processes that produce particularly strong smells, but a traditional cooker hood has two decisive disad- vantages: it is big, and it is noisy. Other solutions need to be found, especially for open plan kitchens where there are no boundaries between the cooking and the living area. Our downdraft extractors are the perfect alternative here. They are designed in a way that makes their functionality disappear from view, thereby creating scope for a contemporary and generous kitchen layout. Downdraft extractors also prove their advantages in the high quality of the technology: the system ensures that cooking smells, steam and grease are extracted directly at source, and not upwards, as usual, but downwards. Cooking smells, steam and grease don't even get the chance to spread before they are extracted. The air is noticeably fresher and purer – cooking smells that linger in the air for days are a thing of the past.

Two downdraft extractors on offer

Häcker Kitchens Blaupunkt brand portfolio also features a downdraft extractor solution: the Blaupunkt induction hob is of- fered with an efficient extraction system that is impressive not only as a piece of outstanding technology but also in terms of the price/performance ratio. "Since the acquisition of the Blaupunkt brand, we have managed to successfully establish around 100 different integrated appliances," says Olaf Thuleweit, who is re- sponsible for Blaupunkt. "One product highlight is the downdraft extractor, which has sold really well since it was launched. We have now made something that was already good even better by optimising the first version and launching a second."

A new technical feature was added to the existing version. The induction hob with integrated extractor launched at the 2016 in- house show offers a combined induction option and toggle fea- tures with set temperatures for the various cooking zones. The induction hob with four autonomous cooking zones is available in a width of 90 centimetres and has an A++ energy efficiency rating, a low noise emission rating and offers high performance extraction. Extras such as a child safety lock, built-in pan recog- nition sensors and a residual heat display provide additional com- fort.

Both Blaupunkt induction hobs are available with fan assisted cooking or extractor options, and the extractor comes with six different settings. The charcoal filter and the metal mesh grease filter are quick and easy to remove from above, and the latter can simply be popped into the dishwasher to clean it. A saturation indicator shows when the filters need to be cleaned. The extrac- tion system can now be opened automatically in both systems. Again, the development process focused on convenience.
