Bosch, a leading global provider of technology and services, is investing 100 million euros (120 million U.S. dollars) in a new plant in Celaya. The company plans to build a new smart factory for electronic components in the central Mexican city by 2020. The investment underlines the importance of this year's HANNOVER MESSE partner country for the company: “Bosch is committed to Mexico. The country is and will remain an important market and a hub for our global manufacturing and development network,” said Stefan Hartung, member of the Bosch board of management, ahead of the international industrial trade fair. The goal is to create more than 1,200 additional jobs at the new location in Celaya in the coming years. In total, the Bosch Group employs around 16,000 associates and is active with all four of its business divisions in Mexico. In 2016, the company generated sales of 1.1 billion euros in the country
