Miele presents space-saving wonders for washing and disinfecting at the IDS trade show
- Fits all dental practices
- With individual accessory and service packages
Reliable, fast and energy-efficient reprocessing on a small footprint – this is what Miele's current portfolio to be on display at IDS, the world's leading dental technology fair in Cologne, is all about. Products include thermal disinfectors which can be installed on a worktop, and new inserts which increase the capacity and flexibility of the larger undercounter models. New compact washing machines with programmes specifically designed to cater for the hygiene needs of dental surgeries represent a further highlight (Cologne, March 12-16, Building 10.2, Booth O 050 / P 051).
A clever solution in preparation of coping with an increased number of patients will be available from #miele from mid-2019 for its 60 cm wide thermal disinfectors. Miele's trusted A 151 lower basket now enables up to 22 hand-pieces and contra-angles to be reprocessed, thanks to a modular injector system. The matching upper basket with 22 nozzles is now height adjustable. These new features increase reprocessing capacity, allowing a total of 44 injector nozzles to be used per cycle. In addition, they offer greater flexibility when dealing with tall items. The new upper basket features are rounded off with a new and practical insert for separable mouth mirrors.
With smaller dental practices in mind, #miele has compact thermal disinfectors in its range which sit comfortably on a worktop but, if required, can be built under or used as freestanding units. Countertop units guarantee the same top-class reprocessing results as larger undercounter units, but require significantly less water and electricity. The new models can wash and disinfect for example 12 lumened instruments, three mesh trays or up to 8 trays. A touch-on-glass colour display with intuitive logics allows all these units to be operated both conveniently and safely.
Under the 'Hygiene' label, the second quarter of 2019 will see the arrival of a compact washing machine with programmes that meet the requirements of the Applied Hygiene Association (VAH) and the guidelines of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for safe margins of disinfection. This model requires only half a square meter of space and has a load capacity of 7 kg. The workwear worn in a dental surgery, for example, can be washed hygienically in less than an hour at 60°C. With a matching dryer with a shortest programme cycle of 38 minutes, a washer-dryer stack saves valuable space.
In addition to all this, #miele will be presenting a comprehensive and individualised product and service package at the IDS fair. These include process chemicals for automatic instrument reprocessing from the ProCare Dent product range, the Data Diary app with which cycle records can be documented wirelessly and automatically – as well as a tight service network with more than 260 #miele service technicians throughout Germany.
