New special edition: C3 Aircross Suv Rip Curl
Citroën continues its four-year collaboration with the Rip Curl brand by unveiling the new version of
C3 Aircross SUV Rip Curl special edition. A natural association between two brands that come together around creative and high-tech products.With its unique character, the most spacious and modular SUV on its market, C3 Aircross SUV has become a key player that has already won over nearly 290,000 customers in Europe.
It now has a new version of the Rip Curl special edition based on the Shine level, which enhances its character through specific stylish features both inside and out. It offers numerous standard pieces of equipment to make everyday life easier, such as Citroën Connect Nav 3D on a 7'' touch-sensitive tablet with Mirror Screen function, Citroën Connect Box, and automatic air conditioning.
With this Rip Curl special edition, C3 Aircross SUV is consolidating its character as a fully fledged adventurer. It will be available to order in France from June 1st, 2020.

The partnership between Citroën and Rip Curl is a natural fit for two brands that develop designer and high-tech products serving well-being, leisure and escape. Driven by their shared values of creation, innovation, and a passion for adventure, the two brands are today renewing their association around C3 Aircross SUV. A model that offers all the appeal of an SUV and more in terms of roominess and modularity. A true SUV by its morphology, its large wheels, its protection features, its raised ground clearance and its high driving position, C3 Aircross SUV has all the attributes of an adventurer looking for escape. By teaming up once again with Rip Curl, whose name alone has evoked surfing since 1969, Citroën intends to reinforce the spirit of adventure of C3 Aircross SUV through an expressive and distinctive version, for a lifestyle focused on relaxation and escape.
The Rip Curl special edition is particularly attractive with the best of C3 Aircross SUV character through its look but also a wealth of equipment based on the top-of-the-range Shine version, which gains numerous features for comfort.
C3 Aircross SUV Rip Curl is characterised by:
EXTERIOR
All the character of C3 Aircross SUV with a design taken from the Shine version including glossy black roof bars, front and rear skid plates, and specifically on this special edition 16'' MATRIX Black alloy wheels and a Perla Nera black two- tone roof. This version therefore plays on a strong contrast between the body colour and the top of the vehicle, which is completely black, with tinted windows and rear windows, associated with the black alloy wheels. All this combined with energising coloured inserts from the Rip Curl Anodised Ochre Color Pack which can be found on the headlight trims, wheel cap surrounds and mirror housings.
This intense and energetic ochre hue, inspired by the sand dunes and sunshine of the surfing world, enlivens the body shape and conjures up the freshness of the ocean. An expression reinforced by the addition of a very graphic sticker with the spirit of a wave on the front doors of the model, combined with the Rip Curl brand logo. To satisfy everyone’s taste, this special series dressed in Platinum Grey is also available with 3 other body colours: Cumulus Grey, Perla Nera Black and Natural White.
INTERIOR
On board, C3 Aircross SUV benefits from a specific Rip Curl atmosphere based on a dedicated, highly technical grey Terpa fabric. The design of the seat is based on stripes that liven up the seat graphically and suggest comfort on board. These seats are enhanced by white topstitching and an ochre band in the upper part of the backrest that echoes the theme of the coloured inserts on the outside. A colour that can also be found on special overlay mats that feature the Rip Curl logo. The interior atmosphere suggests comfort while the ochre touch brings the freshness and energy of outdoor sports. The seats are equipped specifically on this special series with a central armrest for an even more comfortable posture.
EQUIPMENT
A special edition that offers more to make everyday life easier. It is based on all Shine’s top-of-the-range equipment for a calm and pleasant on-board experience, such as:
- Auto Pack which includes automatic climate control, automatic front window wiper and #auto dimming rear view mirror. - Citroën Connect Nav 3D on a 7'' touch tablet which includes the TomTom navigation service, voice recognition, connected services (“traffic info”, “Service Stations”, “Car Parks”, “Weather”, etc.).
- Mirror Screen function compatible with Android #auto, Apple Car Play, which allows you to enjoy multimedia content and applications on your smartphone completely safely by duplicating and controlling them from the 7" touch screen.
- Citroën Connect Box with SOS Pack and assistance included.
- Active Safety Brake: this emergency braking system limits the risk of collision. It operates from 5 km/h with fixed or moving objects and with pedestrians. If there is no driver reaction after the collision risk warning, the system automatically slows the vehicle.
- City Pack including front and rear electric windows, heated, electrically folding exterior mirrors and rear parking assistance to make daily life and manoeuvring in the city easier.
- Sliding rear bench seat.
