With the release of the telescope schedule, the preparation of Service Mode (SM) observations (Phase 2) starts. The deadline for the submission of the Phase 2 material for Period 106 observations is 3 September 2020.
Detailed information on Phase 2 observation preparation can be found here. Users are reminded to use the web-based Phase 2 tool for Phase 2 preparation. Both La Silla and Paranal users can use the guidelines on the p2 help webpage.
Feedback on Phase 2 tools and documentation is welcome. Users can contribute to further improvements by sending an e-mail to the User Support Department (USD). Users should also e-mail USD if they require assistance with their Phase 2 preparations.
