Introduced on the market since 1995, the Outback with the MY21 has now reached its sixth generation and constant development has led it to transform this model from a station-wagon into a crossover-SUV, perfectly in line with the tastes evolution of International customers.

The new #subaru #outbackmy21 maintains the typical construction philosophy of the House of Pleiades: the famous permanent all wheel drive Symmetrical AWD (Subaru patent) and the Boxer engine all constantly developed with respect for the environment as a constant objective.

Boxer engine

The longitudinal axis of the 4-cylinder Boxer #subaru is aligned with gearbox and transmission, in this way a perfect weight balance is achieved between the two sides of the vehicle. 

This type of engine, together with the transmission layout, guarantees a particularly low center of gravity, which has the effect of reducing roll when cornering and pitching in acceleration/braking, especiallly when compared with similar vehicles but with engines with in-line or “V” cylinders.

This #subaru tecnical prerogative proves to be even more important for a #suv, as this category of vehicles has, in general, a higher car body than a normal sedan.
