London Games #festival takes place over the next week and we're spotlighting an initiative that showcases UK video games talent from Black, Asian and underrepresented ethnicities. Find out below how they work together to inspire future generations of gamers. Meanwhile, in the design industry, we got talking about actionable change towards more inclusive workforces in the sector in our latest event with Design Can. Plus, Somerset House Studios presents workshops and talks around critical thinking and resource sharing.
☀️ The Future of Inclusivity
This week, we hosted a roundtable at sketch #London to explore how we can drive tangible progress towards inclusivity in the design industry.
In collaboration with Design Can, the event followed on from our inaugural roundtable in 2022 which looked at aligning income goals and inclusivity goals. This time, working with the Greater #London Authority, the interactive discussion was about positive change and we were joined by industry leaders from Zaha Hadid Architects, Universal Design Studio, RIBA, Design Museum and more.
Kicking off with the latest data on London's design industry from Design Council, the afternoon followed with strategic advice from Loraine Martins OBE. The conversations continued with actions to take – could you do any of these in the workplace?
