Terenzi Srl and Photovoltaics

Terenzi Srl

Terenzi is a company that has been operating for almost sixty years in the engineering and industrialization of products, both technical and design, with a focus on mechanics and the processing of metals and plastics, as well as on the design and construction of moulds. The characteristics, versatility, properties and recyclability of the raw materials, metal and plastic, give life to concrete and heterogeneous projects according to the customer's requests and through the use of technologies that work synergistically.

Photovoltaic in San Giuliano Milanese

Photovoltaic panels for approximately 2000 m² and a total of 300 kW were installed at the Terenzi Srl headquarters in San Giuliano Milanese in 2 systems, on the roof of the company's Block # 3.

The energy needs that these panels cover can reach up to 70% of the annual energy requirement! The decision was taken some time ago and implemented after a period dedicated to the installation starting from 2023 (already announced in this TMag article  https://www.terenzigroup.it/EN/magazine/articoli/Renewable+Energies/58.html). It goes in the dual direction of energy and therefore economic savings through self-production, and obviously of safeguarding the planet through a precise and concrete ecological choice.

One of the most tangible direct consequences of the installation concerns the contribution made to the environment due to the tons of carbon dioxide not emitted into the environment thanks to this energy system: 40 tons of CO₂ have already been saved.

An Example of Production between Art and Industry

One of the articles produced by the Terenzi group in continuity with the territory in which it operates and produces, and which testifies to the union between creative art and industry is Skylight, New Lights on Milan. It is a luminous object but also interior decoration, created thanks to the use of laser cutting, starting from a metal sheet, the recyclable raw material, always the protagonist of the processes at the San Giuliano Milanese headquarters. In the key holder and wall coat hanger versions, Skylight changes its proportions and accentuates its profile, standing out on the walls it decorates. Every small and meticulous detail, even the golden Madonnina of the Duomo, make the historic and beloved city they represent recognisable.

The details of Alessandro Giust's design allow us to recognize the contours and profile of the Ambrosian city, from the buildings that formed its backbone to the neighborhood of more contemporary conception and fame linked to the "towers".

The combined technology behind the creation of Skylight allows production with fiber/fold laser cutting; the metal of Skylight is then protected with varnish printing and finally, again added by hand, the drop of gold that characterizes the iconic Madonnina.
