MOPAR - TechPro2: a new look for the specialised training project website

The new TechPro2 website is online, starting today. The project was a result of the collaboration between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and CNH Industrial with Salesian institutions. Its goal: to enable students from around the world (wishing to take up a study course in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry) to easily find all relevant information about the initiative as well as to support the industry stakeholders looking for new qualified personnel.

TechPro2 is the training project created in 2008 thanks to the collaboration between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and CNH Industrial together with Salesian institutions. The program is intended for young people and its goal is to find, train and place highly qualified personnel in the automotive and commercial vehicles sector, primarily within the authorized FCA and CNH Industrial networks. Also thanks to the contribution of the Salesians of Don Bosco, the project has grown over the years to reach the current 55 training centres around the world, with more than 9,300 students and more than 240 thousand hours of professional training in eight different languages.

The new website - www.techpro2.com - has a new look, innovative contents and updated features so that students, dealers and workshops can find what they need in a simple and efficient manner, from new employment opportunities to qualified personnel for their business.

In addition to obtaining all relevant information about the project and its progress in the different areas of the world where it has been launched, by browsing the website, students can also - with a few clicks – directly contact the schools for detailed information on the training courses.

The industry stakeholders (such as workshops and dealers) looking for new and qualified personnel, can get in touch with the schools for internship start-ups or new career paths for students who have completed the training.

Another important innovation of the website is that students and industry stakeholders can fill out an online form, which automatically sends out a message both to the schools concerned and to the respective project managers of FCA and CNH Industrial. In this way, the project progress is constantly monitored and the TechPro2 program can meet its two objectives: to guide young people from underprivileged social backgrounds that are searching for concrete career opportunities in the world of employment as well as to address the need of skilled professionals for dealerships and authorized workshops of the various FCA and CNH Industrial brands.

In 2013, 885 students in Italy completed an internship at one of the TechPro2 network schools belonging to FCA and CNH Industrial. The course includes apprenticeship and internships at the network workshops to help the young people develop sound technical and professional skills and at the same time obtain valuable field experience. In Italy, in 2013, 46 percent of the trainees found employment thanks to TechPro2 .
