Trend Spotting at IAA 2019

IAA 2019 was abuzz with the latest in electric vehicles, including the introduction of all-electric models.
Attendees also saw a shift to passengers, with automakers now installing third infotainment screens across all models. And automated driving continues to excite with the exhibition of full autonomous pods.
When we weren’t spotting trends, we were creating them. We made several announcements, including:
• Our Routing API for long distances is driving adoption of EV use and reducing range anxiety
• In collaboration with Microsoft, we are helping OEMs enable easy real-time delivery of #tomtom HD Map tech for AVs
• The number of vehicles using our maps for automated driving has doubled
• Our partnership with Hella to serve up fresh HD maps
• The introduction of Trillian, our very own self-driving test vehicle
