Experience more with bHaptics’ wireless haptic suit

Las Vegas, Jan. 7, 2020 – Those tingling sensations of a soft hug, a powerful punch, or a racing heartbeat described in movies, games and VR are no longer just in your imagination. Tactsuit, a full-body haptic suit designed by #bhaptics Inc., brings these sensations to your skin with more realism than ever before. The sensational haptic suit will be showcased at CES 2020 through three different applications: VR, PC and music monitoring.

Designed to deliver real-time haptic feedback to every part of your body, bHaptics’ Tactsuit consists of a vest, a face cushion for VR HMDs, wristbands, and hand and foot covers. With a total of 70 individually controllable haptic motors throughout the Tactsuit, it delivers the world’s most elaborate and accurate haptic feedback, allowing you to feel not only a gunshot or punch, but also patterns, such as waves, swirls, slashes, heartbeats, and explosions. The #wirelesshapticsuit can be connected to your PC or VR headset by Bluetooth. Although it may be your first-time hearing about the haptic suit, Tactsuit is the most popular haptic device used in Location Based Entertainment VR(“LBE VR”) market, thanks to bHaptics’ excellent LBE VR partners all around the world, including Holgoate and Sandbox VR. Now, the company is entering into the B2C market with its updated “Audio-to-Haptic” algorithm, which enables you to use Tactsuit when playing any PC games, watching movies, and listening to or monitoring music.

bHaptics at CES

bHaptics is showcasing Tactsuit’s diverse applications through three different demos: VR, PC games, and music monitoring.

-Bring VR to Life

bHaptics has partnered with two of the most popular VR games, Sairento VR and Thrill of the Fight, in order to successfully showcase the Tactsuit at CES 2020. The two games are available on both Steam and the Oculus Store and are very highly praised by users at 9/10 and 10/10 ratings, respectively.

Sairento VR, one of the top-selling VR FPS games, takes you on the journey of a cyber ninja warrior with an arsenal of deadly weapons, including a katana, bow, and gun. With Tactsuit, you can feel the customized haptic feedback of samurai slashes, gunshots, and recoil, making the virtual world even more realistic and immersive.

Thrill of the Fight, one of the most realistic and popular VR boxing games, invites players to a virtual ring to face off against a series of challengers with a variety of fighting styles. Tactsuit delivers haptic feedback both in the exact spot on your torso you take a hit as well as on your hands when you punch an opponent. Feel every blow you land and every hit you take with Tactsuit in order to react faster, dodge, and land the knockout punch!

*Tactsuit is compatible with all PCVR and Standalone VR headsets on the market.

-Tactsuit X 7.1 Channel (PC Games)

bHaptics’ unique audio-to-haptic software automatically converts sound output of content into haptic feedback in real time and supports both 7.1 channel and stereo sound system. This means you can now feel the direction ofenemy footsteps and gunshots from afar as if setting up a full surround speaker system around your body when playing PC games that support 7.1 channel, including PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. At CES 2020, you will be able to try out Tactsuit with some of very popular PC games that support 7.1 channel. Suit up and gain the upper hand in every game you play!

- Customizable Frequency Monitoring

Using the Audio-to-Haptic software, musicians and producers can customize haptic feedback when monitoring sound/music by choosing to have only a certain sound frequency range be converted into feedback. The suit will not only give musicians the freedom to focus on certain frequencies when they need to, but will also help protect their ears from the damage caused by listening at high volumes– as the added sense of touch will sharpen their ability to detect sound.

Although the Audio-to-Haptic feature is useful in professional settings, that doesn’t mean that it can’t be enjoyed by everybody. The mode can be used when watching movies or videos for a more immersive and enjoyable experience as well.

Other Uses

The haptic suit is useful not only for entertainment, but also in virtual training, such as military training and rehab programs. Tactsuit, as a series of wearable haptic output devices, has the limitless potential to be utilized with different applications that we could not possibly have imagined before.

bHaptics’s SDK is very easy to work with, requiring only few clicks and drags to create patterns, and is compatible with every OS and platforms including Unity 3D and Unreal Engine.

bHaptics Tactot DK 3 (vest) is now available on Amazon.com at $499.
