New CLPe Series in stylish design provide instant communications and collaboration

LONDON – July 8, 2020 – With the rising pressure of online shopping and visitor reviews on retail stores, shoppers’ experience is a top priority. According to a survey from PwC one in three customers said they would walk away from a brand they love after just one bad experience. Retail teams need to connect instantly and respond quickly to address customer requests in-store and provide premium service. With the next generation of the successful Motorola Solutions CLP two-way #radio, the new CLPe Series provides retail and hospitality staff with a small, lightweight and stylish two-way #radio which can be carried discreetly and comfortably.

The #motorola Solutions CLPe Series two-way #radio is specifically designed to be carried through extended shifts. The design is simple and intuitive so that users focus less on the #radio and more on the guest. The #radio and headset are designed to be comfortable during all-day wear and now feature interchangeable hygienic ear-tips to isolate noise in distracting environments. The smart status glow ring lets users quickly check essential #radio information such as battery status and active channel, as well as indicating #radio transmit and receive, volume level and mute. The #radio provides a large, centrally located push-to-talk (PTT) button, in-line PTT on the headset and voice-assisted operations to allow team members to operate the #radio while staying focused on their role.

The new two-way #radio housing is engineered to military MIL-810 standards for temperature, drops and vibration while being rated to IP54 meaning dust and water splashes will not affect the devices in normal operation.

Together with the improved crisp and clear audio performance provided by the redesigned earpiece, plus 15 adjustable volume levels, the #motorola Solutions CLPe helps the team to effectively manage busy retail days. The CLPe is available with 16 channels and in 0.5W unlicensed or 1.0W licensed models.

Multiple accessories are available for the CLPe, including a completely new headset, offering improved performance and resilience, coupled with a new comfortable earpiece at different lengths with removable ear-tips and a lightweight in-line PTT. The earhook speaker is positioned to fit over the ear canal for higher quality audio in noisy environments.

“The #motorola Solutions CLP has been very successfully deployed at retail stores worldwide since 2012”, said Vivienne Francis, Vice President Channel Sales & Operations at #motorola Solutions. “With the CLPe, we build on this success and have made the solution even better with a lightweight design and an enhanced feature set including IP54 rating which was requested by our existing customers.”
