Easy detection and documentation: The Bosch D-tect 200 C Professional for pros

Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

First radar detector with leakage detection

  • First tool featuring documentation via a screenshot and data transmission to a PC
  • Extended functions such as unique leakage detection for even more applications
  • Precise results thanks to new views and consideration of additional wall types
  • High added value beyond the purchase thanks to future software updates

Bosch is systematically enhancing the detector segment. The latest tool, which was optimized based on users’ feedback, is the D-tect 200 C Professional. It is the first radar detector on the market that can record measurements via a screenshot and then process them on a PC via a USB-C® cable or a SD card. This makes documentation easier than ever, for example of concrete cover for reinforcing bars or to track live cables. In addition, the radar detector features a leakage detection for the first time. This is based on even better signal processing that makes it possible to analyze and display damp spots on wall surfaces through reflected radar waves. Burst water pipes can therefore be identified more quickly and without having to prise open the wall. To detect objects, professionals now also have a choice of four instead of previously two different views, shown at a 3.5” color display. They can read the detection results even easier and derive suitable measures. Whether construction managers, test engineers, experts, or craftsmen from different trades, they obtain conclusive results when using the D-tect 200 C Professional.

Four different views for optimum detection results

The maximum measuring depth is 20 centimeters. What really sets the D-tect 200 C Professional apart from competitors’ models is the presentation of objects with precise depth indication and a color code in the Object View, for example yellow for live cables, dark blue for ferrous metals and turquoise for non-ferrous metals. The Object View provides a very clear overview of all detected objects and is therefore the standard view of the tool. Tradespeople can see straightaway how many and which objects are in a specific wall section, which simplifies the installation of wall cabinets or other components, for example. In addition, they can flexibly choose between displaying the object or drilling depth of detected objects. Even more precise and deeper detection is based on the enhanced radar technology with a new antenna system and a new Bosch radar chip. High precision is also ensured through pre-selection of the wall type because different wall properties influence object detection. All current wall types are stored. They extend from early age concrete walls, dry concrete walls and brick walls – even those made of vertical and horizontal coring bricks – through to drywalls. The D-tect 200 C Professional filters the signals, accordingly, thereby delivering even more accurate results.

The Signal View and the Signal View 2D are a great help when different materials are used. They indicate the strength or the strength and depth of a signal and thus provide experts with information about the wall condition. Grid structures such as reinforcing bars, for example, can therefore be clearly seen. Detection in tight spots is also simple thanks to a new Spot View. In this view the tool does not have to be moved over a surface to detect an object. Instead it indicates the object as soon as it is held against the wall. Professionals can not only carry out detection with the D-tect 200 C Professional, they can also measure and mark distances, for example to determine uniform distances between metal/wood stud profiles when pulling in drywalls or to assemble wall cabinets precisely.

High added value – even after the tool has been purchased

Whatever users want: The menu guides them through every measurement with clear explanations in the form of pictures and text, thus helping them to avoid application errors. Users also have flexibility when selecting the energy source: The D-tect 200 C Professional can be operated both with a replaceable battery in the Professional 12V System and with four AA alkaline batteries together with the AA1 Professional battery adapter. When fitted with a 2.0 Ah battery, the radar detector weighs just under 700 grams. This makes it extremely light. In addition, users will be able to receive free software updates through downloads in the future, for example, to successively use new documentation functions. This means higher added value – even after the tool has been purchased.

The D-tect 200 C Professional is available as of now. All specified prices are recommended retail prices excluding VAT.
