Volkswagen and Pinterest collaborate on ID.4 EV virtual test drive experience

Herndon, VA — #volkswagen of America and #pinterest today launched a unique experience where #pinterest users can virtually #testdrive Volkswagen’s all-new, ID.4 through the social platform. Delivering a full 360-degree view of VW’s electric SUV, the campaign is a first-to-market for #pinterest, and delivers a new informative, convenient element in the car shopping process.

Building off the “Before it can change the world, it has to change yours” all-electric, zero direct emission ID.4 messaging, the integration with #pinterest delivers a new way to educate platform users on the content that inspires them. Before implementation, 8M + “Pinners” have already shown active engagement with #automotive content. Through these engagements, one in three platform users have expressed inspiration to shop for a car they weren’t originally considering for purchase. By accessing the 360 #testdrive, those already inspired by Volkswagen’s EV can begin to get a feel for how it might change their world.
