Smartgyro Showcases Expanded Gyro Stabilizer Line-Up at Fort Lauderdale

For the first time at #fortlauderdale International Boat Show, gyroscopic stabilization specialist #smartgyro reveals its expanded range of advanced units which are available now from a growing U.S. dealer network.

The new SG series line-up provides owners of boats from 45 feet to 70 feet with a leading stabilization solution offering unique maintenance and service benefits and sophisticated roll reduction technology. Adding to the SG40 and SG80 stabilizers, the SG20, for boats from 45 feet to 55 feet, is the latest unit to be launched, with further models under development.

Smartgyro has also announced that the SG units are in stock in the U.S. and available from several dealers in the country. Current #smartgyro partners includes: Gillen Yacht Services, Florida; New England Bow Thruster, Connecticut; Carolina Bow Thruster, Connecticut; Kilker Boatworks, Alabama. Further dealer announcements will follow in the coming months.

The outstanding innovation of the stabilizers engineered by the YANMAR-backed company is the cutting-edge modular mechanical design, ensuring the range is unique to the market as the only gyro units that can be serviced, maintained and assembled directly inside the boat. With no need for the whole gyro to be shipped back to the factory for maintenance, up-time on the boat is maximized, while builders benefit from new design opportunities and easier installation in vessels with small access spaces.

Ideal for both new builds and refit installations, the SG series features design innovations within the control electronics, braking system, liquid cooling system and vacuum enclosure to maximize roll reduction, performance and efficiency.
